ENGR-101 Computational Thinking 4 Credits
Prerequisites: None
Computational thinking helps engineers approach problems in a clear,
organized, and effective manner. In this course, students learn to break
down complex problems and work with data within constraints to develop
practical solutions. Through hands-on activities and introductory
programming experiences, students practice core skills such as logical
reasoning, step-by-step problem solving, and problem abstraction.

ENGR-490 Senior Multidisciplinary Engineering Design Project 4 Credits
Prerequisites: None
Minimum Class Standing: Senior
This course is intended to prepare BSE students for engineering practice through a major design experience requiring multidisciplinary knowledge
and skills aligned with their engineering concentration. Students work in teams to design and develop a prototype system to meet a given
specification. The design must incorporate relevant engineering standards and appropriately address manufacturability, sustainability,
economic, environmental, ethical, health, safety, and social considerations. Designs are documented in a professional manner and
presented publicly. To enroll in this course, students must contact the BSE Program Director who, in consultation with the course instructor, will ensure that they have sufficient coursework.
